Himeji Castle in Hyogo Pref. was voted Japan's best castle on a major traveler review site. Our reporter checks out spots to take superb photos of this photogenic castle from interesting angles and strolls through an expansive Japanese garden. He also experiences copying sutras on Mt. Shosha and takes a leisurely trip to the island of Ieshima.
